Lets not go there...

I occasionally like to abuse the vast knowledge/ignorance that search engines like Yahoo or Google offer. I’ll sometimes type in silly words or phrases just to see what pops up, most of the time I come across porn but I digress. Gotta hate, love Yahoo.

But on this special occasion, I happened to type in this exact statement, “Counties that dislike America”, and much to my “surprise”(not really), I get a plethora of sites dedicated to the hatred and downfall of my homeland. We can argue that America is the most powerful, lucrative country in the world but I rather not get into that today. I came across this quote on People-press.org and it basically sums up the point I am trying to make.

“Perceptions of American unilateralism remain widespread in European and Muslim nations”

That lovely chart you see above is basically the percentage of hate or hateration if you will, that other countries have toward America.

This is a chart I came across that shows the counties that have stockpile of nuclear weapons.

Blue-Nuclear weapon-free zone

Red - Nuclear weapon states

Orange - Nuclear weapons shared

The intentions of this post are of pure education. Most of us already have some sort of inkling that our worldly peers dont take too kindly to our actions and decisions as a nation. I just wanted to make it more obvious.

Lets peruse the essentials of cool...

As a recovering “Sneakerhead”, I have an obligation to myself to move forward, to progress, as regression isnt an option. I was in love with all things “Dunk”, “Jordan”, “Reebok” etc. etc… That phase of my life is long gone and I have moved on to a more sophisticated look. I saw these beauties on one of my most visited and bookmarked sites, Hypebeast.com

A simple and clean earthly tone always grabs my attention. Im a stickler for simplicity. Flashiness is overrated. I have no idea where to begin to search for these so my best best is to settle for a pair of more easily attainable Clarks brand version.

Pants play a very important role in bringing out the potential in a shoe. You have to have the most flattering fit as to make sure your shoe exudes maximum style output. My current jean of choice is the New Cure A.P.C denim. At the risk of sounding extremely cliche, there are different strokes for different folks so you might want to try on every fit until you come across your particular “holy grail” of denim.

Equality...

There is a common ground we are always able to ascertain in the simplest of settings. We are able to come together, all races, sexes and beliefs at a stadium to watch a game, play together on a team, or even assemble to enjoy a performance by our favorite artist.

Sadly it is human nature to deny what is different or strange to us. I wonder what Martin Luther King Jr. and many of the other fallen advocates for peace are thinking about us right now. Probably, “Oh, my people can come together and cheer on their favorite rapper together, but on the other hand they murder each other when a glare is exchanged or a scuffing of an expensive article of footwear occurs.”

We are all children in this giant proverbial play pen called planet Earth, so why dont we just learn to share our toys, stop teasing each other and play nice?

Mind Explosion

I have been having these spur of the moment thinking sessions where I begin to doubt the possibility of success blossoming from myself. Im pretty sure of my profession at this point in my life but I  often get advice from elders that I dont want to hear. Ive been told by my relatives, who shall remain nameless that I should not follow my dreams and that I should apply to meaningless jobs to have something to fall back on. I already have a meaningless job which I despise and I dont plan on it becoming a staple in my life.

I know they mean well, but to me failing or falling short of my goals is just not an option. Imagine if Michael Jordan had not pursued his love of basketball and became a janitor… I rest my case.

Thinking about what I should be Twitterin'

So obviously today is the first day of the month of November. This means absolutely nothing to me, and at the same time it means everything. Midterms, papers, long drawn out hours at work(due to insane amounts of shipments as a result of the approaching holiday season) and a lust for rest. Even though we set our clocks back an hour, sleep is still scarce, which leads me to come to the conclusion that time is undoubtedly precious. Spend it wisely, or not at all. We are in a time recession folks…

You Can Call Him "Moon Man"

KiD CuDi pours his heart and soul into his music as well as his performances. I was ecstatic that I finally had a chance to witness Cudder rip it on stage in person. He performed his hit single Day And Nite and the crowd went insane. I felt like a true nerd because I knew every lyric to each song he performed. Gratifying to say the least.

"If You cant do what you imagine, then what is imagination to You?"

It was the best of times, It was the worst of times.

Your location never determines your destination. Some individuals assume and acquire thoughts that grasp them deep into the soils of negativity.  Its as simple as that. I was born in East New York, lived in Fairfield Towers projects until I was about seven.  Statistics would write me off as either dead or on the path of destruction. Why? The question is rhetorical , the answer is horrible…

The city, via a dreamers prospective. Not a shred of negativity exists. It wouldnt survive, It couldnt…

Oh Canada!

Nova Scotia Canada doesn’t sound like an ideal vacation spot for the average teenager, thats because its not. Besides its lack of parties, bars, clubs and any form of fun in housed in any particular structure, it is a very peaceful place where one can relax and and escape the brutal urban habitat.
